North Sulawesi offers unparalleled marine biodiversity and many dive options. Besides muck diving, divers can feast their eyes on pygmy seahorses, mimic octopus, flamboyant cuttlefish, mandarinfish, hairy frogfish, ghost pipefish, rhinopias, pegasus seamoths, banggai cardinalfish, stargazers, bobbit worms, harlequin shrimp, candy crabs, bobtail squid, devilfish, snake eels just to name few. The list seems endless and every dive is an opportunity to discover a species new to science. Mantas and whales also make seasonal appearances in the strait. There are walls, slopes, sand flats with bommies, boulder-strewn areas and even pinnacles to provide a variety of underwater landscapes. To round out the superlative adventure there are even five wrecks to dive, two of which were sunk during WWII action.
Lembeh Resort has a lovely restaurant centrally located on the upper level of the main building, a gift shop and well-equipped dive facilities, including a separate camera room for underwater photographers. Located in the Lobby, the Internet Room has two workstations with memory card readers and CD burners, so you can download your photos and send them to family and friends.
Alternatively, relax by the pool between dives while enjoying the stunning views across the Lembeh Strait and have your afternoon tea or a sunset cocktail. |
