MV Amba is the first and currently only liveaboard to operate in Haa-Alifu, the most northern of the Maldivian atolls, covering quiet, remote dive sites around the 24 unpopulated and 14 inhabited islands of the region. A total of 9 roomy standard 2-person cabins and 1 double luxury cabin with breathtaking panoramic views enables the boat to take 20 guests easily. All 10 cabins onboard Amba have air conditioning and en-suite facilities.
The spacious saloon is equipped with comfortable sofas so guests can discuss the best dive of the day or watch a movie. There are ample sun-decks for those wishing to top up their tan or find a quiet corner to relax. There are two bars on board the boat, one in the saloon and one on the upper sun deck so a cold beer or cocktail is never far. Also once a week a BBQ is organized on an uninhabited island, mooring permitting.
MV Amba offers nitrox diving and is the only Maldives liveaboard that operates around the Haa-Alifu and Haa-Dhaal Atoll, where you can expect to have many of the dive sites to yourselves. One nitrox fill per day is offered free of charge.
Arriving via Male, you will take an internal flight of about 40 minutes to Hanimadhoo, which many clients say is one of the above water highlights of the journey, through the stunning views afforded of Maldives' extensive atolls. |
