Manthiri is an 85-foot luxury liveaboard that is custom-designed for the ultimate in comfort and the optimal dive experience. The vessel's exceptionally wide beam minimizes rocking motion and allows for spacious en suite cabins divided over four twin and two doubles, each with fans and air-conditioning for a maximum of 12 guests. A dive tender allows for dive gear to be transferred off the main boat, so there’s plenty of storage in every cabin.
The comfortable salon has a television and VCR with video playback, CD player stereo system and a small library. A smaller salon in the rear is conveniently suited for working on cameras and has a light table for viewing slides as well as a computer for instant download of digital photos and a slide projector. E6 Processing is also available. Manthiri has been outfitted by professionals with underwater photographers in mind.
The diving is done from a specially outfitted dive tender, called a dhoni, which carriers the compressor, nitrox systems and dive gear. What awaits you on your dives are valleys of dazzling soft corals, gardens of towering hard corals and schools of fish that carpet the reef while out in the blue you’ll find schools of pelagics. Because of the coral build-up forming the atolls there are many swim-throughs, arches and cuts that are teeming with life and color.
A large sundeck is the place to be after diving, to enjoy the magnificent tropical sunsets and gentle sea breezes whilst sipping that tropical cocktail. Paradise, why not?
A crew of eleven eagerly works to anticipate your every need, from providing fresh towels after each dive to a meticulous laundry service, to make your experience in Maldives so impressive you will want to stay forever. The food is excellent and plentiful, featuring a wide variety of Asian, European and local dishes. Between dives you will be served tasty snacks and refreshments.
Manthiri trips run from 6 to 10 nights, and depart from Malé. |
